Eclipse Gymnastics CIC is an Acrobatic and Tumbling Gymnastics club offering active and engaging sessions for all ages and abilities. The sessions are designed to build key life skills – Fine motor skills, Gross motor skills, Co-ordination, Teamwork, Communication, Confidence and Strength. They are an inclusive club with 5 dedicated disability coaches and their head coach is the Disability Representative on the Regions Committee. In 2016 their disability pairing became National Champions.
Eclipse came to us because they were alarmed by an unexpected £900 corporation tax liability they had just received. As a CIC their motivation was not profit making but supplying their young gymnasts with somewhere to train and develop. The supposed “profit” that they had made, was in fact, money they had been putting aside to help enable them to open their own centre so that they could have a proper sprung floor, instead of using a scout hut or school halls for training. The tax bill had seriously dented those plans.
We prepared their next set of accounts and minimised their tax bill. They have now asked us to help them raise funding as they have just found the ideal unit.
