Drum Works

Drum Works CIC

Using drumming as a tool to inspire creativity, build social cohesion and empower young people.  Drumming with around 500 people a week (when Covid permits) their high energy, engaging sessions develop confidence, breakdown social barriers and build a supportive community.  Outside their main programme, Drum Works also work on projects in schools, offer corporate training days and teacher CPD training.  Drumming is something everyone can do no matter their age or ability and going by the photos on their website, there is never a dull moment.

Miss S support Drum Works with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and their annual accounts and tax return.  We’ve also been on hand to assist with funding applications, cashflow forecasts and budgets as well as ensuring that all is going well with the bookkeeping they maintain themselves.

As an arts-based social enterprise, it’s important to us to have accountants who understand our organisation’s values and what we actually need. Fiona and Tracey absolutely fit the bill and are lovely personable people to work with to boot! They go above and beyond in terms of supporting me to learn so that I can improve our day-to-day financial management and they’ve been extremely helpful with specific requirements, for example preparing complex financial papers to support (successful!) grant funding applications.
