Cobra Collective CIC

The Cobra Collective is a UK-based social enterprise that works in partnership and long-term collaborations with communities and organisations worldwide to achieve positive change for marginalised communities through research, capacity building and strengthening resilience. As well as preparing their accounts and tax return, Miss S meet with some of the Cobra directors every month offering advisory support on strategy, impact measurement, funding applications and answering queries about their bookkeeping.

Eclipse Gymnastics CIC

Eclipse Gymnastics CIC is an Acrobatic and Tumbling Gymnastics club offering active and engaging sessions for all ages and abilities. The sessions are designed to build key life skills – Fine motor skills, Gross motor skills, Co-ordination, Teamwork, Communication, Confidence and Strength. They are an inclusive club with 5 dedicated disability coaches and their head coach is the Disability Representative on the Regions Committee. In 2016 their disability pairing became National Champions.  Eclipse came to us because they were alarmed by an unexpected £900 corporation tax liability they had just received. Koala Academy

Koala Academy

Koala Academy provides an exciting alternative for those children who are unable to achieve their full potential in a conventional school environment.  We worked with them first, two years prior to their opening when planning, CIO applications and scoping out potential venues were high on the priority list.  Tracey worked with Tori to strengthen their budgets and to empower Tori through sharing the ‘whys’ behind the changes made.  Subsequently we were able to read through their CIO application and suggest improvements to the wording used, this in turn lead to a successful application.

Drum Works

Drum Works CIC

Using drumming as a tool to inspire creativity, build social cohesion and empower young people.  Drumming with around 500 people a week (when Covid permits) their high energy, engaging sessions develop confidence, breakdown social barriers and build a supportive community.  Outside their main programme, Drum Works also work on projects in schools, offer corporate training days and teacher CPD training.  Drumming is something everyone can do no matter their age or ability and going by the photos on their website, there is never a dull moment. Miss S support Drum Works with the preparation and submission of VAT returns and their annual accounts and tax return.  We’ve also been on hand to assist with funding applications, cashflow forecasts and budgets

Beyond Reflections

A gender identity support charity which provides safe, confidential spaces in England for trans, non-binary, and questioning adults, their families and friends to meet with peers, engage in counselling, participate in facilitated group work and attend workshops. They have been supporting trans and non-binary people since 2005 and know everyone’s journey is unique. They know being trans is not a choice, they help people understand themselves better and make healthy decisions.  Beyond Reflections aims to create a world where every gender diverse person can be free to be their authentic self. And they save lives. Being trans is an aspect of human diversity, not a mental health issue, but the denial, discrimination and abuse experienced by many trans people too

CHAPEL ARTS STUDIOS

CAS is a socially-engaged, contemporary visual arts charity which exists to support and develop artists, and deliver creative education in the North Hampshire region whilst creating a strong sense of community for and with artists. CAS have developed a distinctive approach that prioritises partnership, collaboration, and sharing of resources and intelligence. They operate from a small chapel in the centre of a graveyard but deliver work far beyond. There activities include developing our CAS network and promoting creative enquiry through our flagship Education and Dissent programs. They even launched a rocket into space in 2020.
