A gender identity support charity which provides safe, confidential spaces in England for trans, non-binary, and questioning adults, their families and friends to meet with peers, engage in counselling, participate in facilitated group work and attend workshops.
They have been supporting trans and non-binary people since 2005 and know everyone’s journey is unique. They know being trans is not a choice, they help people understand themselves better and make healthy decisions.
Beyond Reflections aims to create a world where every gender diverse person can be free to be their authentic self. And they save lives. Being trans is an aspect of human diversity, not a mental health issue, but the denial, discrimination and abuse experienced by many trans people too often leads to loneliness, isolation and lasting trauma. Coming to Beyond Reflections gives trans people and their families a lifeline to recovery and the opportunity to finally reach their true potential. Beyond Reflections have been undergoing their own transformation in recent years, so they needed a business planning session to help illustrate their new direction. We ran our Business Brainstormer Workshop with senior staff and the board of trustees. The workshop highlighted areas that needed work – such as the lack of any marketing strategy. The Charity has been steadily working through the points raised and regards the brainstormer outcome as its business plan. This has led to development in marketing strategy, fundraising strategy, staff development and board diversification. Making a stronger organisation. They have also engaged us as Advisory Support to the CEO on an ongoing monthly basis.
